J. Michael George, PsyD
Director of Behavioral Sciences
Mike George is a native of Fayetteville, Tennessee. He completed his Doctorate of Psychology in 1994 at Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield, Missouri. Currently, Dr. George is licensed as a clinical psychologist in Tennessee and Alabama.
He is Director of Behavioral Sciences at the Alabama Pain Center in Huntsville, Alabama. He has recently become Director of the Alabama Recovery Center, also located in Huntsville.
He has served as Family Minister of the Washington Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville since 1986. He has been a featured speaker at many youth, family, and men’s retreats over the past 30 years. He has also conducted numerous seminars on a wide array of psychological topics throughout his career.
He enjoys spending time with his family – his wife Sandy, their three children and grandchild. He enjoys hunting golfing, and all types of outdoor activities.
